Today we went to a great museum in Périgueux, Vesunna, le musée gallo-romain. It is built on the site of a large gallo-roman house, which was at the centre of Vésone - what is now known as Périgueux.

The museum was impressive because it was very well laid out. There is a boardwalk build overtop of the ruins, and as you follow it around, there are signs to describe what each section of the house would have been, as well as display cases with artifacts relevant to that area. If you want to learn more about the museum, here is their website: www.perigueux-vesunna.fr/a-city-under-the-city/.
After finishing at the museum, we walked back to Cynthia's house. On the way, we stopped at a boulangerie, and got éclairs :)

First french éclairs! |
We then went for a walk with Cynthia, Wary and Kaya, along the river in Périgueux. From here there was a nice view of the city, with the cathedral standing out particularly well.

We then went home for a fantastic dinner of crêpes! :)
